Kristine McCallister

Artist Statement
McCallister created a body of work during many plein air sessions at the Neon Boneyard titled Sal Segav. Sal Segav was an Indian themed casino back in 1930’s and spells Las Vegas backwards. Her observations of these rescued historic neon signs has transformed into a charming collection of small paintings with big Americana appeal. The rusted monolithic tombstones of old Vegas resemble a patchwork of Las Vegas history that changes everyday.
