OLGA MINKEVITCH
For Olga Minkevitch photography has always been one of the most inalienable parts of her life. It all began with enjoying work of the world’s celebrated photographers and naturally led into a strong desire for developing a series of self-portraits.
Olga’s creative path started with fine-art photography. She attended Maine Photographic Workshops to master her skills in classic black and white photography. In 2007, Olga graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography and won top honor Mamiya Award Of Excellence for her commercial portfolio and a full page spread in American Photo magazine.
Artist Statement
Whether it’s a portrait or a still life I try to approach it with a concept and artistic elegance. Seeing through the ordinary is very important to me. Everything in this world is created from something and can evolve into something else. So if I can dress up two wine glasses to make them look like a couple ready for a night out, why would I settle for a traditional photograph.
